Skopje Airport anticipates double digit growth and another record year in 2015

Skopje airport has recorded another excellent result by welcoming 80.079 passengers in February representing a growth of 23% compared to the same month last year. With the strong start in 2015 which started with an impressive 41% growth of passenger numbers in January, Skopje Alexander the Great Airport anticipates its busiest summer season on record, with several launches of new routes and a number of airlines announcing additional frequencies and boosted capacity on their flights to Macedonia’s capital. Wizz Air will spearhead the growth for a second consecutive year, with the budget carrier set to base a third aircraft on the airport in late June and introduce five new routes...

That the first international flight from Skopje Airport dated back in 1930. The flight started from Vienna, with stops along the way in Graz, Zagreb, Belgrade and Skopje and finished in Thessaloniki.
