New campaigns during March

In March 2014 Portline had new activities regarding to its clients T-Mobile and Halkbank. T-Mobile expanded their presence in the Skopje “Alexander the Great” Airport with new Megalight position placed in the airport garden right in front of the main exit door. Halkbank started a new campaign through which they will communicate the information that they are the General Sponsor of the Macedonian Basketball team.

Summer is a very busy period for all the airports and our airport is not much different when it comes to that. Usually this is the period when advertisers are more active with promotional activities. T-Mobile has been organizing promotions at the airport three years in a row.

ONE Telekom Slovenia Group activities in July

ONE Telecom Slovenia Group was our most active client during July. The clients activities were mostly targeting arriving passengers. The client branded the wall on the baggage claim track where they were leaving their first impressions to clients. After that we placed a 3d object on the main hall and in the end they were receiving flyers on their way out by their promoters.
You will certainly not miss the new creative solutions of this client the next time you visit the airport "Alexander the Great" Skopje. The selected positions are considered the busiest on our airport, since they are positions through which you will have to pass regardless of whether you are traveling or welcoming. Advertisements placed in the main hall of our airport usually provide services to an audience of over 1,5 million people per year.

One of the most effective advertising spaces in our portfolio, which is purchased by Halkbank AD Skopje, starting from August 2014, welcomed the passengers with a group smile given by the members of the Macedonian basketball national team.

New client - Capitol Mall & Residence

Our latest client Capitol Mall & Residence, entered the Skopje Airport in August by branding the main exit and arrival sliding doors . Through these positions and strategy this client created a path through which they will follow the all arriving passengers from the moment they pick their bag until they exit the airport. These positions will also allow them to reach all of the traveling and non traveling passengers who will visit the airport during this period.

New campaigns

Our airport had a busy month again, when it comes to the marketing aspect. We have had several activities and started new campaigns. The latest brands which appeared for the first time with campaigns on Skopje Airport were Austrian Airlines and BFC (Business Friendly Certificate). Austrian Airlines positioned itself on some very attractive positions and branded the airport main entrance doors. BFC (Business Friendly Certificate) positioned their brand in the arriving area . “Alexander the Great” has welcomed its millionth passenger

This year, for the first time in 14 years, Skopje “Alexander the Great” airport reached the one million passenger milestone, a goal which was set by the airport operator TAV Macedonia when it entered the Macedonian market. Back in 2010, when TAV Macedonia took over Macedonia’s biggest airport there were only 681.080 passengers. Last year ended with the airport recording 984.226 passengers.

The expectations are that by the end of 2014 the growth will be even greater, taking into account the coming of the Christmas and winter holiday season when passenger traffic on the airport is booming.

Skopje airport is showing a constant tendency to grow, and in the first 9 months this year the airport recorded an increase of passenger numbers of 21%, an increase of operated flights of 13% and an increase of operated cargo of 40% compared to the same period last year.

New Clients in November

During this month there were several new activities in the aspect of airport advertisement at the “Alexander the Great” Airport in Skopje. Out of all the activities, the ones which left the biggest mark in November were the campaigns from DelCo and Pakomak. DelCo started advertising at our airport for the first time with a corporate campaign. Their advertising panels are placed in the arrival and departure areas. The second important activity was the Pakomak campaign, who together with Portline and TAV started a project which promotes social awareness and social responsibilities. Through this campaign our aim is to inform and educate all the passengers, how important keeping the environment clean is. Here are some pictures regarding to these activities.

Portline – We Take Care of the Environment

During this month there were several new activities in the aspect of airport advertisement at the “Alexander the Great” Airport in Skopje. Out of all the activities, the ones which left the biggest mark in November were the campaigns from DelCo and Pakomak. DelCo started advertising at our airport for the first time with a corporate campaign. Their advertising panels are placed in the arrival and departure areas. The second important activity was the Pakomak campaign, who together with Portline and TAV started a project which promotes social awareness and social responsibilities. Through this campaign our aim is to inform and educate all the passengers, how important keeping the environment clean is. Here are some pictures regarding to these activities.

For this purpose, on the initiative of Portline Macedonia and TAV Macedonia, a cooperation was established with the waste management company Pakomak for the implementation of a joint project and an advertising campaign on Skopje “Alexander the Great” Airport aimed at raising public awareness for the need to recycle and selective disposal of packaging waste, as well as the importance of keeping the environment clean.

New Client in December

In December 2014 our new client Endava made an appearance at the Skopje Airport with a campaign about home employments. Their nature of business in which they operate gave them a good opportunity to target the right people when they arrive in Macedonia. Through this campaign they welcome the passengers back home by telling them that travelling is not the only way to make an international career and that with Endava they can have that international career at home.
